environmental health and indoor air quality issues for our clients at
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Duties may include data collection,
research, and analysis, assistance on product development and marketing,

program activities. Successful candidates will be highly motivated,
possess superior quantitative skills, strong organizational abilities,
professional demeanor, ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
and excellent written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate

Washington-based, nonprofit research and information center dedicated
to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative
misinformation in the U.S. media -- seeks a researcher to help carry
out this mission as a member of its Research Department. Media Matters
researchers are responsible not only for reading, watching, and listening
to news outlets, but also for researching, analyzing, and writing about
what they observe. In this rapid-response environment, the work of a
researcher is likely to be published almost every day on the Media Matters
website. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least one
year of political experience and proven writing skills. The candidate
should also demonstrate a breadth of knowledge about and awareness of
current political and policy issues and an understanding of the problem

BILINGUAL (SPANISH) RESEARCH ASSISTANT

medical interpreting. The Center for Immigrant Health is conducting
this study at Bellevue Hospital Center. Responsibilities include recruiting

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The Center for Responsible Lending (www.responsiblelending.org)
was created in 2002 to protect homeownership and family wealth by working
to eliminate predatory lending and other abusive financial practices.
CRL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research and policy organization that
promotes responsible lending practices and access to fair terms of credit
for low-wealth families. CRL is an affiliate of Self-Help (www.self-help.org),
a community development lender founded in 1980 that creates and protects
ownership opportunities for low-wealth families through home and small
business ownership. Self-Help has provided over $3 billion dollars in
financing to help over 37,000 low-wealth borrowers buy homes, build
businesses and strengthen community resources. This position will be
based in CRL’s Washington, DC office. Principal Responsibilities:
The Research Associate will work to advance CRL’s mission by supporting
the research, outreach, and policy staff in analyzing issues and data
related to predatory lending and other abusive financial practices.
Tasks may include: · Assisting CRL’s researchers in understanding
particular lending markets and producing high-quality research on predatory
lending issues through designing, developing and managing large spreadsheets
and databases, collecting and analyzing data using statistical software
programs such as SPSS or SAS, and analyzing other public and proprietary
information on lending practices. Assisting CRL’s policy team
through time-sensitive research related to fast-moving policy and legislative
issues; and Assisting CRL’s outreach team through developing materials
and research for conferences, panels, and other events where CRL participates.
Desired Qualifications: Minimum of undergraduate degree in economics,
finance, public policy, or other relevant discipline; Experience in
policy, legal and/or financial research is desirable but not required;
Strong quantitative, writing and interpersonal skills; Excellent attention
to detail; Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
Desire to work with a diverse staff and commitment to economic and social
